In Loving Memory   1994 - 2007

"Chunky Monkey" came to Valley View in May of 2001 suffering from a chronic inflammatory bladder and bowel condition. It was love at first sight for the staff, who quickly agreed to adopt her as a clinic kitty when her owners were unable to continue caring for her.

For six wonderful years, Monkey enjoyed eating, sleeping, greeting clients, lapping up compliments, and getting belly rubs at Valley View's front desk. We gave her loads of TLC, and in return she gave us purrs, snuggles, and lots of laughs. Even clients who preferred dogs couldn't resist her charms, and some came in occasionally 'just for their Monkey fix.'

Sadly, Monkey's condition rapidly deteriorated last winter, and we finally had to say goodbye. Her devoted staff and friends surrounded her one last time as she was gently put to sleep. We miss her terribly, but take comfort in the fact that she lives on, not only in our memories, but in many of our clients' hearts as well.
